Abstract :
Arteriovenous malformation is a high-flow vascular malformation which can arise from any part of the body. However, arteriovenous malformations arising from the nasal dorsum are quite rare that possess the greatest therapeutic challenges. Here, we report a case of an 18-year-old gentleman who had nasal dorsum arteriovenous malformation. He underwent single modality treatment of open rhinoplasty approach to excise the mass. Intraoperative, a broad-based vascular mass was seen which leads to incomplete excision. The case illustrates the importance of preoperative planning and treatment choices in treating patients with nasal AVM. Treatment decisions should be drawn upon a case-by-case basis to ensure a good outcome. Facility and human resources limitations increase the challenges faced by surgeons in treating patients with nasal dorsum arteriovenous malformation.
